Artist Statement

This project looks at individuals working in the stone quarries on the bed of the river Goyain in Northern Bangladesh.

As I wandered in between the open mines and camps I began noticing repeated objects, and began photographing them from the same distance, eventually collating them together in large collages.

Another iteration of this project sees daily photos on instagram @jaflongtour

All photos taken in early 2016 in Jaflong, Bangladesh.
